Security huts and gatehouses
We take a look at the benefits of high security housings, the levels or security available for you organisation and how investing in extra security can protect important documents and goods.
Why do I need high security huts or gatehouses?
Anti-terror and anti-theft housings are suitable in a number of industries where important information or goods need to be stored in a remote location. These can include security housings for army barracks and control rooms but cover a much wider range of organisations that need top level security.
High level security huts offer protection against everything from extreme climates to theft and explosions. They’re highly customisable to suit your unique and individual needs and are prepared quickly and efficiently off site, so that you can start protecting what’s important in no time at all.
Which security rating is right for me?
There’s more than one level of security available with GRP security huts and gatehouses, so that you can choose the level of protection that suits your needs perfectly. Below is a quick and simple explanation of the security levels and what you can expect from them.
LPCB LPS1175 Security Rating 2
This level of security ensures that the gatehouse or hut is protected from basic forced entry and tools such as knives or pliers, as well as more advanced tools such as bolt cutters, drills or heavy duty hammers. At this level, you can expect your security housing to be protected against determined thieves or vandals looking to enter your property.
LPCB LPS1175 Security Rating 3
A level 3 security hut would protect you from all of the above plus heavier attack tools such as gas torches, small axes, chisels and crowbars. Choosing this level of protection is best if you are likely to have a post unattended for long periods of time in a remote area.
LPCB LPS1175 Security Rating 4
For the ultimate in anti-terror, anti-theft and anti-vandalism protection, you can opt for level 4 security huts and gatehouses. This level will protect you from more experienced thieves or vandals who have a higher standard of equipment available to force entry. This includes all of the above tools from levels 2 and 3, as well as sledgehammers, larger axes, grinders, jigsaws and other heavy duty machinery.
Whatever level of security you decide to take advantage of, you can stay safe in the knowledge that all of our GRP security huts and gatehouses are fully tested and meet the standards that are expected by current legislation.
