Identification Labels Helping Protect your Business Assets

business equipment assetsTechnology has brought great advances in the way we do business and as a result the use of portable equipment including laptops, tablets and mobile phones has greatly increased. These are valuable assets that can all too easily be misplaced, lost or even stolen.

So what practical steps can a business take to help prevent these issues and also in the event something does happen aid recovery.

What are Identification Labels

A simple and cost effective method is to use asset or identification labels, these are permanently fixed to your assets and equipment clearly identifying them as belonging to your company.

In addition these labels can include sequential numbering, bar codes and even QR or 2D codes. This means you can record important details about each item and match this to the label code. This way you can track who is responsible for each item, where it should plus it’s age and condition etc…

Quality identification labels are extremely hard to remove making them an excellent theft deterrent some use a material that will break into small fragments if removal is attempted allowing you to see any evidence of tampering.

Identification Labels with UV

ID Silver Mark identification labels are in fact UV stencils, just like a normal asset label they  can contain your name and other key details, but these details have been precision cut by laser into the material and then painted with UV ink. Should the label ever be removed your details will remain in UV ink clearly showing your ownership.

ID Silver Mark is available from Dantech Ltd experts in identification labelling solutions. For more details visit: www.idmark.com or call +44 (0)1354 688488
